ALBA DIAZ GRACIE
A Portrait Of Bristol
A series of photographs of Eleanor.
I decided to change the background of one of the photos to make Eleanor's face 'pop'. I liked the idea of creating shapes and adding details on her face and hair.
The following images were created as part of an assigment for a video based on the theme of self portrait for my Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
I chose to work with the colour red as I felt like it was a colour that I find myself drawn to for various reasons. It also represents blood which is an element that I have played with in my art work, the idea of blood in relation to humans and animals which as a vegan I often include in my work as animal rights is a topic important to me as a person and therefore why I chose the colour red for the self portrait brief. It is also my favourite colour. I decided to cover my face with paint gradually and take a photo each time I added more.
